The Canadian Association for Journalism and Media (CAJM) is an Association dedicated to journalist organizations, main Headquartered in Canada that represents workers in the field of press and media, whether they are affiliated with press and media institutions or they are independent journalists or media professionals in around the world.

CAJM is leading a collective movement to support press and media unions, organizations, and unions in their struggle to obtain their rights and create decent working conditions for them.

Our Mission

CAJM seeks to work and move at the Canadian level and the world wide, to defend the freedom of the press and the independence of its professionalism by supporting journalists and media professionals, whether in their workplaces as press or media institutions, or outside the scope of their work as independent journalists and media professionals.

Our Vision

CAJM promotes Journalism freedom, human rights, democracy and pluralism, and strongly opposes all forms of discrimination and condemns the use of the media for propaganda purposes or to promote intolerance, intolerance and conflict.

Our Goal

CAJM Working to strengthen democracy and human rights free journalism in the worldwide by informing, engaging, and activating journalists through deep investments in just and inclusive news and narratives.

On the other hand, CAJM includes a group of prominent professionals and professionals from various media disciplines dedicated to embracing the progress and the ever-evolving nature of traditional and interactive media to work on facilitated by senior practitioners in this field and in many disciplines.

Expected Outcomes

CAJM does not adopt a specific political orientation, but it promotes and supports freedom of political and cultural expression and defends union work and the rest of the basic human freedoms.

CAJM fights for gender equality in all of its structures, policies and programs, and offers its full support to journalists, their unions whenever they fight for their professional rights.
